Gone by Michael Grant

Just finished Gone this morning, and I've got to say: GREAT BOOK.
Summary time!
So, everyone is just sitting there in history class, and POOF, every adult is gone. Just disappeared. So, Sam, Quinn, and Astrid go to find Astrid's autistic brother, Petey. Along the way they discover a barrier wall all the way around the little town of Perdido Beach. They're all alone. Everyone above 15 is just gone. They're trapped in a nightmarish scenario. The bullies are trying to take control, and rule over the town.  All the little kids look up to Sam. He's kind of a hero. But he's just as scared and confused as them.
^^^SPOILERS BEYOND THIS POINT. Come back when you've read it.^^^
Okay. Who else knew Petey was the cause of the FAYZ the entire time? That's really my only major con. It was a little bit predictable. But I thought the super-power mutations was a great twist. I started reading this thinking the whole point was the adults being gone, but the mutations really made it interesting. My only other con is really just for me, 'cause I'm a sucker for YA supernatural romance. Astrid and Sam need to have more romantic moments in the next book.  I'll get Hunger at school Monday, so hopefully I won't be disappointed.

Divergent by Veronica Roth

Just finished Divergent!!!
Summary: Beatrice has lived all sixteen years of her life in Abnegation, the selfless faction. Her faction is one of 5: Abnegation- selfless, Amity- peace, Erudite- intelligence, Candor- honesty, and Dauntless- brave. She takes an aptitude test that is supposed to tell you what faction you belong in. But hers comes back Divergent. She is told it's dangerous. At the Choosing Ceramony, she must choose a faction. She makes a choice that startles everyone, including herself: Dauntless. In her new faction, she will find friends, enemies, joy, sorrow, love, and hate.
It's a distopian, and at first SOUNDS like Hunger Games, but is totally different. I fell in love with this book. I HAVE A NEW FAVORITE!
Spoilers!
Tris is amazing! She's so down to earth and real, making decisions most people would make. I mean, at first, I didn't like her, but now, I LOVE HER! And Four/Tobias… ahhh… <3! I felt my heart flutter everytime they kissed. I bit my lip when Tris did. Best book ever. Seriously. Can't wait for Insurgent!

SPOILERS!
This book was REALLY GOOD! I love Four/ Tobias. Really. This is the best book ever. I bite my lip everytime Tris does. I feel my heart skip a beat each time she and Four kiss. I honestly found myself cheering "Kiss Him! Kiss Him! Kiss Him!" through half the book. She is soooo Dauntless. SHE ZIP-LINED OFF A 100 STORY BUILDING!!! Tris is the best, most down to earth, and realistic character I've ever read! I can't wait for Insurgent. Seriously love this book!

Starlighter/Warrior/Diviner by Brian Davis

I just finished Diviner! So, here's a quick summary:
Jason is a peasant on Major Four. He is a skilled warrior, taught by his older brother, Adrian, who is Governor Prescott's bodyguard. His brother is about to leave on a journey in search of a legendary dragon world. Even talking about it is forbidden.
Koren is a slave on Starlight. She works in Axrad's house. She has bright red hair, emerald green eyes, and a gift for story-telling. She is a Starlighter.
It's a good book. Not very popular. But really good. I seriously recommend it.
!!!SPOILERS BEYOND THIS POINT!!!
Alright, was anyone else surprised by the end of Diviner? Total cliff-hanger!!! Really? "Lead the way, warrior." The end! Did anyone else scream "WHAT?!?!?!" or is that just me?
Well, tell me what you think!(:
